ENGSO and the EOC EU Office organised together with the NOC of Albania, the seminar “Strengthening Sport through Good Governance” in Tirana on January 27, 2014. The event was successful due to the presence of the Albanian Minister for Education and Sport Mrs Lindita Nikolla and the Albanian federations, sport clubs and universities who showed a big interest in this event. Many media representatives attended the seminar and it was also reported on the TV News. The seminar was furthermore supported by the European Olympic Committees.

On 28-31 October 2013, in cooperation with the Danish Institute for Sports Studies, Play the Game organised their biannual Play the Game Conference. This edition was held in Aarhus, Denmark. On the agenda were topics such as good governance, integrity issues (such as the fight against match-fixing, corruption and doping), democracy in sport and participation. The four day event featured many speakers including Yves Le Lostecque, Head of the Sport Unit of the European Commission, who provided a presentation on the role of the European Union in sports governance.

On Monday 30 September and Tuesday 1 October 2013, the European Commission organised the annual EU Sport Forum. This Forum, which is part of the structured dialogue with the sport movement, took place in Vilnius, Lithuania and brought together 320 representatives of the sports sector, including the EOC EU Office and several National Olympic Committees (NOCs).
